Training forteachers, easy tojoin.

Fluxusacademie is the training academy of Scholengroep Fluxus: courses, webinars and year-long programmes for teachers, school teams and parents, on location across the Kempen and online. The site had to be catalogue, calendar and learning platform in one.

Context

The brief.

Fluxusacademie grew out of the school group's own in-service training and opened its doors to teachers from other schools. Its offer is broad: a year-long course on the language of difficult behaviour, drama workshops, an inspiration day on diversity, AI literacy, first aid for stress and more, with over twenty trainers across six locations.

Until now, that offer lived in PDFs and mails. Teachers could not see at a glance what was coming up, where, with whom and at what price, and every registration meant an e-mail exchange. Online courses had no home at all.

The new site needed a clear catalogue with dates, locations, trainers and prices, registration in one flow with the discounts for the group's own schools stated up front, a learning environment for online courses, and a place for the stories, the blog and the questions that make the academy more than a list of dates.

Approach

What we did.

01

One card per training, everything on it

Date, location, trainer, price and the discount rules sit on every training card, on the home page and in the catalogue, so a teacher decides without opening a PDF.

02

Register in one flow, invoice afterwards

Registration is one form on the training page. Group discounts for Scholengroep Fluxus schools and the 2 + 1 offer for external schools are stated up front and settled on the invoice, instead of being negotiated by mail.

03

A learning platform for online courses

Online courses run inside the site: participants log in, follow the lessons at their own pace and find everything under 'My trainings'.

04

Browse by month, place or theme

A month view for the year ahead, location pages for Turnhout, Berchem, Beerse, Zandhoven, Mol and online, and themed categories keep a growing catalogue easy to scan.

05

Trainers and participants in their own words

Every trainer has a profile, and participant testimonials and interviews on the blog show what a session feels like before you book.

06

Warm and clear, in the Fluxus family

Fluxus blue with orange and green accent cards, rounded corners, hand-drawn leaf doodles and photos of real sessions keep the site friendly and on-brand for the school group, and the coordinator updates all of it without a developer.

The work

Up close.

Result

The outcome.

fluxusacademie.be is now the academy's front desk: teachers find and book a training in minutes, discounts are clear before anyone asks, and online courses have a home.

The coordinator publishes new sessions, blog interviews and answers to frequent questions from the WordPress admin, and the catalogue keeps growing without the site getting harder to use.
